There is a famous Chinese saying: "glory of three minutes on stage, the hard work of ten years off the stage." This adage is basically any profession, singers, actors and athletes. As the public, we see that the results and not the hard work. It takes minutes to become an actor without success, but the years to become a success. Fortunately, here are six quick tips to enhance your talents as an actor.
1. Know your lines.Although this seems obvious, it is a common mistake among enthusiasts. Singers aren't good singers if they cannot remember their words. The players are not good if they don't remember their lines. Only when you are confident with your lines can concentrate on acting techniques. Memorization of the lines is not enough. You should know your lines upside down, so you do not look as you read from a script.
2 Participate in filming projects. Search creation as Wong Fu Productions studios and see if they need extras. This is an excellent opportunity to become friends with people who have the same interests as you and the gain in quality of experience along the way!
3 Open to your comments. What does not kill you make you stronger. Your comments can hurt, but will cost you nothing. Respect and accept your comments. Do not take it personally. Nobody is there to ruin... which is that once you are in the movie!
4 Out of your comfort zone. Acting is not something that a shy person can do unless the individual is ready to get out of his comfort zone. When I was in elementary school my tutor sent me right to audition for a role in the school play. I have no idea what was to me, but I sang the part up and strong with pride. I saw my music teacher, nodding... I got the part.
5 Remain in character more time than you have to. Mr. Pricklepants Toy Story seconds it! Staying in character allows to think and breathe in the skin of your character. This helps your action becomes more natural. And you can see when you go further.
6. Take a class acting trust professionals. They have been in this industry and can give useful advice. If you are not sure where to start or worried about the class conflicts with the schedule you, see Vimbly for a list of classes in New York, you can book on the spot.
Most importantly - start! Only search will make you a better actor!
